Technical issues?
You want to join a Live Streaming Tour but experience technical issues. No problem! I can help.
What do I need in order to follow the online tours?
1. A device that can connect to the Internet, for example a smartphone, tablet or laptop.
I recommend you have the latest version of your Operating System (iOS, Mac, Windows etc.) and the latest update.
2. A stable Internet connection.
3. An App / Software that is called Zoom.
I recommend you install it before joining your first Live Streaming Tour. You can download Zoom in App Store (Apple), Google Play (Android) or any equivalent online marketplace.
You may have to update the Zoom App from time to time. I recommend using the latest update.
How do I join the tour?
1. Click on the provided link.
2. After some time Zoom opens. You will be asked to download / install the App if not yet done.
3. If you use Zoom for the first ime, it might take some time until you are ready to follow the tour. But in general, after the second time using Zoom, you won't have any issues.
4. You will receive a message that the host will let you enter the meeting. When you have come that far, you are almost there. All you need to do then is wait until the tour guide grants you access to the tour.
5. As soon as you are in the meeting, check that your microphone and camera are switched on. You don't necessarily need a camera during the tour, but it is more personal if the tour guide can see you. However, in order to communicate and ask your questions, you need your microphone switched on.
Typical technical issues
I cannot be heard:
a) Is your micophone switched on?
b) Does your loudspeaker/ headset work at all?
In most cases, you can just leave and enter the meeting again after a few seconds.
